COTHROMAN CÒMHRAIDH

Bidh trì cearcallan-còmhraidh againn gach seachdain - dà aig an Lòchran fhèin (oidhche Luain agus Diardaoin tron latha), agus fear ann an Carrigans (Blantyre) air Oidhche Mhàirt. A bharrachd air sin, bidh Cofaidh agus Cabadaichann gach mìos, aig Tramway sa cheann a deas dhen Bhaile. Tha iad seo freagarrach do dhaoine aig a bheil Gàidhlig gu leòr son comhradh a chumail / B1 gu fileanta.

We run three conversation circles every week - two at An Lòchran (Monday night and Thursday daytime) and one in Carrigan’s Bar (Blantyre) on Tuesday night. There is also “Cofaidh agus Cabadaich” running once per month at Tramway in the Southside. These conversation circles are suitable to all those who have conversational Gaelic - level B1 to fluent.

NEW: Beginners conversation practice (roughly CEFR levels A1 - A2) starting on Friday the 3rd of April, at 7.30 pm. It will be a good opportunity to get a bit more confident in the basics, such as greetings and how to introduce yourself, though role-play exercises and conversation-based games. These sessions will run roughly every fortnight.

Who is this for?

  • People attending A1 or A2 level classes

  • People who are teaching themselves Gaelic using materials such as SpeakGaelic or other courses

  • People with some familiarity with Gaelic greetings / basic words

Who is it not for?

  • Complete beginners looking for more structured classes to guide them through the first steps of learning Gaelic. If this is you, keep an eye for future opportunities! Or, you could always give SpeakGaelic a go and come along to these conversation practices once you've covered the first couple or learning units.

  • Speakers at intermediate level and above - do come to our Monday and Thursday cearcallan còmhraidh, instead!

Any questions, feel free to get in touch!
